Two thousand and twelve photos...

Two thousand and twelve photos. When divided by 75 (the average amount of photos that someone will get with a one hour session with me) that is 26 sessions. SO, that is my goal this year, to book and shoot 26 sessions and deliver 2012 beautiful memories to people. THAT would be amazing! It is quite a lofty goal, but I thought getting 30 "likes" on my photography page in one night was a big goal, and I ended the night with 64 "likes"! If you have not visited my facebook page, you can follow the link below:

I have no idea what 2012 the year or 2012 photos will look like for House on a Hill photography. Maybe some Seniors, babies, families, sports teams, engagements, bridals, weddings,  and just over all fun photos will all be in the mix, that would be awesome.
Will you invest in some beautiful memories this year?
Feel free to contact me with any questions... and I will be seeing you through my lens in 2012!
(OK, that last part sounded very "stalker", I intend to stalk no one unless they ask me to do so.)

I leave you with a photo of myself that my awesome cousin Jessica shot for me this past weekend. You can "like" her photography facebook page as well... here is the link:

Christmas Photo Shoot 2011

Who knew that a strand of Christmas lights, three Christmas outfits, and my camera could create one of my most treasured Christmas gifts ever. Yes, I shot these photos and I am considering them a gift to my own self. Do not judge. :) I just am absolutely in love with the way that these turned out. The images are AS sharp as I would have wanted them to be, but I did the best that I know how in low light. I will get better someday hopefully. (The above photo is my oldest daughter)

My son is seen above with genuine excitement on his face that I had just plopped a bundle on lights on his lap. Boys and technical things I guess. Almost every photo I have of my son, some part of him is blurred. He cannot keep all of himself still enough for me to get a good photo, most the time. But, this is real life people, might as well show it like it is, blurry hand and all.

Oh man. This is my youngest daughter. She was pretty excited about putting her pretty Christmas dress on (which kinda shocked me). She was extremely willing to do this photo shoot. Best one yet of her. I don't think that she stuck her thumb in her mouth the whole time! Score!
I am really proud of these, and just wanted to share them with you all. I will post the full set of the entire session on my online gallery. You can check out the link below! Thanks for reading, and I hope your Christmas season is filled with joy overflowing, and peace never wavering.

The beautiful (and chilly) Geis Family...

I love blogging about my photo sessions, because I get to pick out my favorite photos from the shoot. But, today it was extremely difficult. I got to shoot one of my most favorite families in the world, the Geis family. It was a cold one, I think it was only 40 degrees outside in downtown OKC on Sunday. But, they had the best attitudes and were SO easy to get good photos out of.

Dana and Jeff, such an amazing couple and mom and dad.

They were such great sports. I know them well enough to ask them to help me try to pull off all of these poses that I have been wanting to try for awhile now.

What's up G?

Oh. my. gosh. These girls. Love them so much. I made them smile for me for an hour in 40 degree weather and they still gave me a hug at the end and told me "thank you." Love it.

AAHHH!!! I love this shot!!! It is UBER (wink, wink)  AWESOMENESS! That is all I have to say. So Geis dudes, follow the link on the bottom of the page to look at your full session! Thank you so much for letting me do these. I hope you love them as much as I do :)

Tinsel and Treasure...

I attend an AMAZING church called Northview Community Church on County Line Road and Northwest Expressway in Oklahoma City. We are having our annual Tinsel and Treasure Craft Show
( Craft- def. something made with ones HANDS and not mass produced across the ocean by a robot. And usually hot glue is involved, somehow.)
Anyways, it is from 9am-5pm THIS Saturday. I am sharing a booth with a good friend where I am selling these Reusable Window Clings that look like faux stained glass, they are kind of awesome. :) AND I will also be exposing my photography business to the public for the first time! (cause the internet does not count I guess) I am excited. I am also going to be advertising a special that starts TODAY:
SPECIAL OFFER
48 free photograph gift tags with every session booked by December 15!
They look like the above except with your awesome new family photos inside the blank white square!
So, come by the craft show and check out my portfolio, buy some crafts, hear me sing (I am gonna me playing up some Christmas tunes as well), and then sign up for family photos!
Thank you for listening to my house on a hill photography commercial, you may now go back to your previous facebooking or pinteresting. Thank you!

the Liszeski family

Yesterday I had the opportunity to take family photos of the Liszeski family. It was a beautiful afternoon in Martin Nature Park in Oklahoma City.

The family wanted all sepia and black and white photos, but the autumn colors were so beautiful I could not resist slipping a few full color ones in there.

Five handsome boys, what good sports they were.

Those eyes on that youngest! Amazing.
Thank you Liszeski family. Your photos are beautiful, I hope you enjoy! Follow the link at the bottom of this page to see all of your photos...
